Character divisions for Sonic R.

Although it would result in a friggin' huge chart, I suggest charts for each character in Sonic R.
Or if they don't all fit on one page, each character could get his own page.

It's a nice idea but chances are it was thrown straight out as soon as Sonic R competition was even considered for the exact reason you just gave (friggin' huge chart).

The idea was suggested in the "New Competition Ideas" topic, but it was thrown out quickly.  And as Crowbar said, it was probably dropped from the start for the same reason.

Not to mention that most competitions would be mostly the same.
A challenge thread might not do too badly, but it would be best if it divided the characters
into groups (floating on water/sinking in water/hovercraft things that can't jump)
for competition or used one character from each group.
Metal Sonic and Metal Knuckles charts, for example, would be too much the same.
Inactive member, but still... occasionally... checks his private messages and aging (former) records in SA.

This is a cool idea, but as others have stated, it would result in a HUGE chart. Also, I doubt anyone (I know I don't) wants to play every level with all the characters. Plus you would have to have many different files for having certain characters on to be able to get the best possible Tag times on (since you don't want faster characters being they get away quicker).

Topic BUMP

I think that it's a good idea. Characters like Tails and Eggrobo won't be able to compete with Metal Sonic for example. And Super Sonic is just overkill. Each character having it's own page works, or at least only have surtain divisions for each character. Maybe Balloon and Tag can still stay the same.

Speaking of Sonic R, I still keep up the hope that one day the Regal Ruin and Radical City glitches will be banned.

Those glitches have as much chance at being banned as breaking out of bounds at Knuckles's section of Cannon's Core in SA2(B).

Pssh. I didn't even know there WERE glitches. XD
And who brought it up isn't important. It's obvious that people want it up especially since Super Sonic's the only character I use anyway and everyone else gets avoided as I'm sure is the case with all of you (exception of multiplayer in Gems).

1. Multiplayer in Gems, you hold R1 and both players can choose the same character.
2. WHAT DAMN GLITCHES!?!?!? No really, tell me. Now.
3. I think that individual charts would be good, if they don't take up too much server space.

And the Regal Ruin reverse one is also crap, because it's so random that it's impossible to play the stage any more.

Glitches are completely fair game everywhere else on the site, regardless of how much they break the level in question.

Except like crap like the TBG which breaks a whole game
